Natracare Safe To Flush Moist Tissues Are Truly Fine To Flush

By now you’ve probably heard of the infamous fatbergs forming in our sewers. These fatbergs are made up of all the things you’re not supposed to flush –  tampons, pads, nappies, and especially wet wipes.

There are 366,000 of these sewer blockages every year. 93% of these blockages are caused by wet wipes, which are often made from plastic.

At Natracare we like to solve problems, so we’re launching Europe’s first truly flushable Moist Tissues.

Proudly Fine to Flush!

Water UK recently announced a new and rigorous test for wet wipes and moist tissues, in an attempt to clarify what can actually be safely flushed down the toilet.

We are proud to say that our Safe to Flush Moist Tissues are the first and only wipe alternatives to achieve the Water UK requirements and the “Fine to Flush” logo!

Across the world, around 14,000 wet wipes are used every second, if everyone swapped over to 100% truly flushable paper-based alternatives, it would help halt global plastic pollution and reduce harm to our oceans.

The Safe to Flush Moist Tissues are 100% compostable and moistened with natural and organic ingredients, meaning they’re suitable for all skin types, including sensitive baby skin and that of young children; they are hypoallergenic and fragrance free.

Flush Safely

The world’s first TRULY flushable alternative to wipes is here, and – just like toilet roll – is made of 100% tissue paper.

Unfortunately ethics and the environment will sadly be flushed down the toilet when you can get a pack of flushable wipes from any supermarket for around 65p for 42 wipes (cheaper still with the triple packs) yet 30 of yours retail at £1.99?! Austerity forces everyone to buy cheap nowadays…

Unfortunately, I have to sadly agree with Craig 🙁

We see what you’re saying, the cost reflects the use of organic ingredients, ensuring the wipes are both skin and marine friendly. Other products on the market contain harsh alcohols, plastic and chemicals which dry skin out and contribute to plastic pollution. The best thing is to drive change for people knowing what can really be flushed.

great idea, but wont catch on…its not a competitively priced product..its it were its would command the market across the world…..sadly this looks like a company that will loose the opportunity…. stick union jack on. we in the uk will soon be buying British…

Brilliant. Are they only available online? I am really interested if it protects marine life. In fact I think others should be banned. Are they vegan too? Ta

Hi Lynne, the moist tissues are available online. You can buy in store too – the majority of independent health food shops can order them in very easily and they are also available in larger Waitrose stores! And, yes they are vegan!

    • Natracare said:

Hi Neil, all larger Waitrose stores are stocking the flushable moist tissues and any of your local health food shops will be able to order them in very easily if they don’t already have them in store.

If people use them, they will get cheaper. If the law changes, they will get cheaper still.

I have been buying Safe to Flush moist tissues from my local Waitrose in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire. I have recently been told that they have ceased stocking them. Is this the case?

    • Natracare said:

Hi Diane, no reason for them to stop stocking! They are currently selling the Safe to Flush moist tissues in Chandler’s Ford Waitrose as of today (02/01/2019). Please do get in touch with us directly if you’re having an issues buying them.

I know these are more expensive but they are also individually twice the size of the cheaper ones. I find i use more of the cheaper smaller one and these are much better. Helping the environment is worth the extra cost.

  9. Mary M said:

I use these and am happy to pay a bit more so i can flush them safely.
when will you invent safe to flush panti liners? That would be just amazing!

    Good Morning,

I have concern with the very shiny “threads” which are left on my skin after using a natracare moist tissue. I examined a fresh tissue right from the packet and saw that there are thousands of these very shiny synthetic looking threads woven into the moist tissue. Can you explain what these plastic looking threads are? And are they safe for skin and environment?

    Thank-you

    • Natracare said:

Hi Katherine, thanks so much for your comment. We can assure you that our moist tissues are made entirely from paper, but so we can investigate this further, please could you send us a phot of this and the batch code of the wipes packet to info@natracare.com?

I have been using these for some years and keep coming back for more. Knowing they are safe to flush is important to me, not the price. My store is the Cupboard of Health in Winchester.
