This seal means that products are literally made with safe ingredients, without known carcinogens, behavioral, reproductive, and neurotoxins, hormone disruptors, heavy metals, high-risk pesticides, insecticides, flame retardants, toxic solvents, or harmful VOCs. It goes above and beyond to further examine ingredients for concerns for bioaccumulation (builds up in our bodies), persistence (don’t break down in the environment), ecosystem harm, and general and aquatic toxicity. In short, it means that we’re leading the way in making products without ingredients known to harm human health or the environment.

So why is this important? Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of chemicals in use right now in products we use every day; very few of them have been studied and some have been linked to some serious health problems. Tampons and menstrual pads are often made with perfumes, surfactants, and super absorbent polymers and, we simply know how safe these are.

Combined with confusing marketing claims like “green” or “eco” (which don’t actually mean anything about how safe or healthy a product is – green washing, eh?), this means that people have been stuck trying to figure out which products are actually safe and which ones aren’t – which is almost impossible!

    Can you confirm that there are no isothiazolinone or methylisothiazolinone or related preservatives in your products? I have allergies to them

      None of our products contain isothiazolinone or methylisothiazolinone (MI) or related preservatives. That Natracare is organic means there are very safe and strict standards about what can go into a product – which is a really good thing!

    Cannot find your product Natracare mini 30 Panty Liners at Bartells in Seattle, WA and went to Walgreens as well.
    Been using for years, what is happening? Bartells says due to shipping problems?
