What it’s all about
Natracare traditional style maxi pads have a new and improved design! Made from natural materials our maxi pads help you feel comfortably protected.
Regular maxi pads come individually wrapped so they’re easy to carry around when you’re out and about. The regular absorbency pads without wings are suitable for a lighter menstrual flow or towards the end of your period.
All Natracare pads are commercially compostable to EN 13432 and ASTM D6400. This means our pads break down into organic matter and return to soil when composted, so less waste to worry about. It is also possible to compost pads at home.
Gynaecologist recommended and suitable for sensitive skin or those with allergies. Natracare helps reduce your exposure to synthetic materials and ingredients, including plastic, perfume and dyes often found in conventional period products.

FAQs
Q: “Why use wood pulp inside of the pads?”
We never use chemically processed pulp (such as rayon aka viscose) or synthetic materials in our pads. Instead, we use fluffed wood pulp in the absorbent core of our pads. Our pulp is sustainably sourced from fast growing, Scandinavian pine trees – which is very absorbent! We mechanically process the wood to make it soft and fluffy – this fibre structure is more absorbent than using cotton alone. Cellulose pulp is natural and renewable, and a more sustainable alternative than superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) found in many conventional pads.
The cover is made from certified organic cotton, and this sits next to the skin, acting as a soft cover to wick away leaks.
Q: “How do I dispose of Natracare maxi pads and packaging?”
Natracare pads are commercially compostable to EN 13432 where facilities exist. It is also possible to compost our pads at home. If you don’t have a compost bin, pads should be disposed of with your regular waste.
The packaging is made from commercially compostable bioplastic and the pad wrapper from paper
