How we help

Valur FC, one of the premier teams in Icelandic women's football, shows all the qualities we admire and would like to believe we share, such as courage, determination and 'balls' (pardon the pun). Natracare became the co-sponsor of the team, which over the past 30 years, has helped to improve the standard of women’s football.

The team

Whilst some women are living in dread at the thought of the beginning of every football season, there are a growing number of women who look upon football as a fun, healthy and rewarding challenge. And that doesn't mean watching it on TV either!

Women's football is particularly popular in Iceland where, just as our season starts, the season for the Iceland National Title draws to a close. Natracare sponsored the team Valur FC, during their fight to come out on top.

Valur FC, which translated means gyrfalcon, thus 'Valur on flying wings', is based in Reykjavik and is one of the premier teams in Icelandic women's football. They have been building up their side for over 30 years and have helped to improve the standard of women's football in Iceland enormously during that time. The team has won the Iceland National Championship four times, and the FA Cup Tournament eight times during the last 22 years.
