carbon footprint

Natracare makes every effort to reduce emissions directly by using raw materials with the lowest possible carbon footprint, avoiding unnecessary energy use and by increasing the efficiency of our systems.

We measure (EPD and Carbon Trust), then take measures to reduce and avoid emissions. In addition to this, we also contribute to the Woodlands Trust carbon offsetting scheme.

Greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation are causing global climate change at a rate unseen in the last 650,000 years. This change represents the single greatest threat to our woodlands and the wildlife they contain.

The reasonably high awareness regarding reducing our carbon footprint can be confusing and the public are generally being exposed to “Greenwashing”. Consumers that want to try and make a difference by buying products claiming to be environmentally friendly cannot always be certain that they are what they claim to be. New excitement regarding carbon off-setting is growing at break-neck speed with all sorts of companies and brands claiming that they offset their carbon footprint, but it can be a very haphazard approach. Few actually know what their footprint is, so how do they know what action is needed to counter their impact on the environment?
